My interpretation: Phyllis entered Grimoire Academy to prove everyone in her village wrong, that a girl can be strong. They are the outer conflict. Her inner conflict however probably stems from the Welcoming Ceremony and the recent rp- she's probably reevaluating her life choices rn because she probably didn't expect all this dying and stuff. idk.
